From Betty’s Got the Best and Wakem Hill fruit, herbs and vegetables.
The busy spring has turned into an even busier summer. Thursday will be our fourth market day at Riverside Park. Great weather so far and good attendance. The Breakfast sandwiches 10am – 11 am are picking up with lots of variations. Burgers and hot dogs with lots of toppings along with the potato salad. Strawberry shortcakes for dessert. Hopefully the berries will last for another week as the raspberries are not ready.
The vegetables are growing well and now selling several types of lettuce, great kale, radish, beet greens, onions and herbs. Visit the Wakem Hill stand and see our herb baskets.
Cows & calves on pasture so barn chores are minimal. Sure love to watch the calves play, sooths the nerves after a frantic day. Haying under way with a decent crop.
Thank you to those who sent birthday wishes. Just another day, weeding in the am, housework in pm and took Ronald to Woodstock in the evening on his weekly road trip, this week to Alabama.
