Just a brief run down on a few of the things I did this summer in addition to running a farm with livestock and a huge garden and attending the weekly Florenceville Market!
- First I talked to the Florenceville Elementery School grades 3-5 in June about the importance of buying and growing local food.
-Next will be the National Potato Day event at Potato World where five of us tried to chop potatoes into french fries.
-Next we set up our food stand at Centreville Summerfest serving burgers, hot dogs and strawberry shortcakes
-And Kevin participated in Carleton CO-OP’s chili cookoff as part of Festival of Flavour week. Kevin is the CHILI KING. (see the picture above!)
Fall is arriving and the summer markets have ended, watch for more updates coming soon!
